Satellite Internet & Phone – Ground Control Basics

The energy transportation industry takes place in locations not often traveled with spotty connectivity. We have systems especially for regions with limited or no telecommunications. Our systems make internet and phone communication at your job site simple. The equipment we use is one-button easy to operate and requires no user training or certification. Our various satellite networks support data, voice, video streaming, custom applications, VPN & private networking.

Mobile Satellite Internet

Our full line of mobile satellite dishes that can create a high performance, high-speed data connection for broadband Internet and phone to most any location on the globe. We can establish up to a half-mile Wi-Fi access point for any in-range device. These models are perfect for providing Internet and phone to a community of workers at any location. You will be online with up to 20 Mbps x 5 Mbps speeds. Satellite Internet has no dead zones even in disaster and remote areas. If you can see the sky, you may connect for high-speed Internet and phone.

Our systems are completely self-contained when power is supplied. There is no external equipment needed for it to deploy, lock on satellite, and create a local area network for highspeed Internet access to multiple computers, smartphones, or other devices. Each system includes a Mobile Satellite Dish, the Wireless Antenna Control Unit, and the Satellite Gateway for premium grade satellite service. Little or no training is necessary to operate the system. Once the power is on, simply press the “Deploy” button and the dish will deploy automatically, lock on the satellite and create a highspeed network in about 3.5 minutes.

All Weather – All Conditions

The systems are designed for extreme environments. Black anodized aluminum, UV resistant plastics, sealed onboard electronics, a no-backlash braking system and dish-arm shock absorbers for operating in high winds. Even strong magnetic distortions have no effect because the on-board acquisition routine does not require a compass reading. The systems have superior environmental ratings which means it handles extreme rain, snow, and wind.

The handheld units provide waterproofing (1 m depth of water for 30 minutes) and dust tight protection, making it ideal for use in harsh outdoor environments. The radio meets MIL-STD 810G specifications. The operating temperature range is from –30°C to +60°C (–22 °F to 140 °F). The battery pack provides 14.5 hours of operation.
